You'll find my website divided into the professional writing I've done for clients and students, and the creative writing I do for myself. But the fact is, all of it is creative and serious work.
I got my start writing travel stories for bike magazines while teaching composition at the University of Washington, where I got my PhD in English. A long and diverse freelance career followed, and in recent years, I began publishing my poetry and prose. See what I've been up to here:
